What can you do for yourself?

I love crafts, so I’ve always had a thing for DIY. But doing it yourself also often felt like the only option. My parents didn’t spend their hard-earned money on things they could do. If something broke, they fixed it. Unless it was the septic tank and even then, they made sure it was beyond their abilities before calling someone.

My great-granddad stacked two pieces of used furniture to make this hutch. My parents painted the inside black, and now we decided to brighten it up a bit.
