I once had a pre-natal yoga teacher, Dee, who was great at creating community for new moms. She created a Facebook group to practice gratitude. We were to try to list ten things every day. It wasn’t complicated. You could repeat things from the day before, and you were welcome to write things like “the sun” or “a roof over my head.” Dee explained how the practice starts to rewire your brain, training you to focus on the positive and feel happier. I no longer practice as diligently, but I think it really helped altered my perspective.
