Of Montreal

On to trying to enjoy travel when kids are involved.

Hello, Happy August, happy Virgo season, and happy birthday to me (today!). I love August and its weird mix of doing as little as humanly possible, while also starting back-to-school prep. It’s my favorite kind of productivity – buying fresh notebooks, getting everything organized, but not yet working. If only every month could involve so much laying on the beach and stocking fresh pairs of socks.

One thing I did accomplish this month was a family trip to Montreal. Planning vacations is still fairly new to me. For much of adulthood, we could only afford to travel with family. Then over time, I was able to get around more, thanks largely to work trips to free stays with friends. Take trips where you can get them!
